Richard S. Mr. Granat also previously served as the President and Dean of the Philadelphia Institute for Paralegal Training, the nation's first paralegal educational institution where he pioneered the role of the legal assistant as a new career role within the legal profession. Mr. Granat also served as a member of the Task Force at the U.S. Office of Economic Opportunity that created the National Legal Services Program that provides today provides legal services to low income individuals nationwide and is presently Co-Chair of the ELawyering Task Force of the Law Practice Management Section of the American Bar Association, and Reporter for LPM, "Best Practices for Legal Information Web Sites." and a member of Standing Committee on the Delivery of Legal Services, American Bar Association.
